NOTE: I have removed all but the latest package for each MPICH release
from my archive (keeping of course the latest woody and sid, etc.). You may be
able to get most of them on Fumitomo Ikai's
Debian snapshot server
(description,
DP story), or you can
write to me to request them.
This page documents my effort to package the
MPICH portable
implementation of the MPI parallel computing standard. I adopted this package
from Junichi Uekawa in April, 2003.
Package description:
This has multiple binary packages, which will be reorganized at the next
release, see below. I'll post a complete description when that is done.
Questions/issues:
- Why does gfortran not work (at all on non-i386, different symbols on i386)?
To do (in roughly decreasing order of priority):
- Remove mpif90, and maybe file a bug against gfortran.
Finished projects:
- Got libslog and libmpe symlinks into /usr/lib, so programs built against
them no longer need to use rpath.
- Move manpages from mpich-common into mpich and mpich-mpd, and remove
dependency of those on mpich-common.
- Rename mpich-common to mpich-doc.
- Split mpich(-mpd) into mpich(-mpd)-bin and libmpich(-mpd)-dev.
- Add mpich-shmem packages.
